The Department of State Services (DSS), today confirmed that it has Tukur Manu, the Kaduna Train hostage negotiator in its custody

According to a statement signed by the DSS Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunaya, Manu was intercepted by Nigeria’s foreign partners in Cairo, Egypt on 6th September 2022, while on his way to Saudi Arabia.

Afunaya said: “Tukur Manu has since been returned to the country on 7th September 2022 and taken into the service’s custody. His arrest was facilitated by the synergy between Nigeria’s Military, Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community and their foreign partners. He was brought back into the country to answer critical questions on ongoing investigations relating to some security matters in the country.”
