Police arrest top ranking IPOB Commander in charge of Biafra states in Nigeria

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested top-ranking Commanders of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) in the Ojo area of Lagos State.

The suspect, identified as Uchechi Eze, 43, alias  Lion Heart, was arrested at Shibiri Ojo Local Government of the metropolis.

The suspect is also described as the Operational Commander of IPOB/ESN terrorists in the entire acclaimed Biafra land.

Sources told our reporter that the suspect has allegedly confessed to having been the Operational Commander of IPOB/ESN terrorising  Imo State, Anambra State, and Ebonyi State.

He also further confessed to having led militia groups that burnt police stations, and government facilities and also killed personnel of Nigeria government securities, plus personnel of All Progressive Congress Party (APC) members in the struggle to actualize Biafra republic, and in reprisal for the death of late Ikonso the IPOB/ESN Zonal Operational Commander.

Lion Heart was arrested on the 17th of January 2024 at about 7:PM.

A source said: “On the date in question, Anti-kidnapping Unit revealed that it receives reliable intel and Anti-kidnapping Unit led by a Chief Superintendent of Police, (CSP), Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa, Commander Anti-kidnapping Unit went to Shibiri Ojo LGS Lagos state and arrested one Uchechi Eze aka  Lion Heart, 43, from Imo State.

“He is the Operational Commander of IPOB/ESN terrorists in the entire acclaimed  Biafra land. A search was executed in his hideout at Shibiri Ojo LGA Lagos state and two AK47 rifles, and 60 rounds of live ammunition were recovered.

“He confessed to having been the Operational Commander of IPOB/ESN terrorising  Imo state, Anambra state and Ebonyi state, including burning of all police stations, government facilities, killings of Nigeria government securities, including personnel of All Progressive Congress party members in the struggle to actualize the Biafra Republic and in revenge for the death of notorious late Ikonso the IPOB/ESN Zonal Operational Commander.

“Investigation is in progress to track down his other  fleeing members.”
