Man arrested for suspected currency racketeering in Nigeria

Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  have arrested one Ekene Ibegbu, in connection with alleged racketeering of N1,580,000.

He was arrested by members of the Special Task Force of the Commission attached to the Enugu  Command on Thursday, February 8, 2024, along Owerri-Enugu Road, following actionable intelligence about his suspected involvement in currency racketeering.

 He would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
