The Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network (ACVPN) now has a new lawyer, Mrs Olaniyan Clementina Onoriode, for the acceleration of children’s protection and prosecutions of perpetrators of Sex and Gender Based Violence (SGBV).
Onoriode is Partner, 1st Preference Legal Practitioners.
She got her LL.B (Hons) from the Lagos State University, Ojo 2005, her B.L – from Nigeria Law School, Bwari in 2006 and her LL.M – from the University of Lagos, Akoka.
As an advocate and solicitor, she represents clients regularly before Nigerian courts at all levels and has provided expert advice on Foreign direct investment in Nigeria.
The Co-founder of ACVPN, Mr Ebenezer Omajelile, who introduced her to the child-protection organisation, said: “General practice with bias in Commercial transactions and Litigation, Maritime practice, Energy Law, Corporate Dispute Resolution, Conveyancing transactions and Litigation, Recovery of debt and Recovery of Premises. She serves as the company secretary on the board of some companies in Nigeria.”
Onoriode has worked with several law firms within and outside Lagos. She has also worked with notable corporate organisations where she worked primarily as a research trainer and as the intermediary between the Nigerian Company and its numerous foreign partners.
A versatile professional, she has attended many training to hone her multi-disciplinary skills.
She has also had the privilege of training several university dons, members of the judiciary and staff of the Nigerian Law School.
