Campus cult appears appealing, but is deadly (1)

Apostle Mark Anthony Ibekwe

Campus cultism is not just a meeting point for a group of people or students, but perverse spiritual cults aimed at distracting the academic life of students and hold their lives in ransom.

Most leaders of campus cults are not legitimate students, and some front line members stay in school for years without graduating, especially in public/government owned universities and other higher institutions. They stay in campus to recruit new members and students to keep their evil cult life going. They live on taxing members and pushing their members to extort money from their parents. They use their members’ lives to protect theirs.

While some cult members may not stay in academic hostels, but rent houses somewhere else, they focus their operations within the academic communities. Some cult members go from one academic institution to another, to form groups, network, recruit new members and expand their network.

Campus cults, on the surface, appears appealing, harmless, a place for the tough guys/babes and worth belonging, but a deeper look reveals a deadly picture far beyond what you may imagine.

While prospective members may lack the full knowledge of what it entails, they think joining campus cults could be a way out of their low self-esteem. Some of them join, seeking to avenge past hurts; they do not realise that it involves their entire life.

Members go out to lure new members or friends into cultism, promising them protection and giving them a fair share of campus life, but they cleverly hide the dark side of the cult from them.

Campus cultism may come to you with the promise of belonging to the “hard guys” in campus, or the “happening guys,” or those that decide what happens in the campus, but it will eventually work against your destiny and academic interest.

You main aim of studying will be jeopardised and your life will be traumatised. Also, your academic pursuits will be derailed, leaving you with a shell of a life that sets you against your family, community and the academic community you find yourself.

Membership into campus cultism involves terrible and deadly initiations like beating, swallowing of live reptiles, drinking of blood, painful body cuts and piercing, donating one’s part of body or blood for covenant, a promise never to leave or reveal their secrets, a commitment to defend their course and members even at the risk of your life, gang rape, etc.

The dangerous and bloody initiations the members go through hardens them to do evil and see themselves as above destruction.  But this is false.

Members are given tough names to feel strong and invisible. But this, the members will later discover, is elusive and deceptive.

It is only when you have become a member you will realize that campus cult isn’t what you think; it is demonic and controlled by agents of darkness, who are out to destroy your life and future, and will do anything to keep their selfish ambition going even if it means killing you. The power you seek in campus cultism becomes the power that kills you.

Campus cultism forces their members to go against their brothers, sisters or parents if so desired by their leaders. Some even lead other members to kill their loved ones, rob their parents or do some other harmful acts.

In most cases, they bury erring members or opponents alive.

They graduate their members from acting hard to smoking hard drugs or abusive substance to robbery and homosexuality. Their leaders are mostly academic dropouts or frustrated individuals who turn their failures in life and academics to their members only to have their future destroyed.

Campus cult members live a violent life and most of them end up as armed robbers, kidnappers, hired assassins, drug pushers, drug addicts and political thugs.
