The Nasarawa Police Command has traced it missing AK47 rifle to a herdsman.

Julianafrancisnews.com gathered the rifle was traced and recovered following a series of interrogations and follow-ups.

The rifle was stolen from the room of Inspector Arong Awo, attached to 58 Police Mobile Force after he went to bathe. He returned to the bathroom to discover that the rifle had gone missing.

A police source told julianafrancisnews.com: “You need to look at the picture above to be able to understand the story properly. You see the man in the green Tee-Shirt is a dismissed policeman. He went to the room of Inspector Arong Awo of 58 PMF and removed his rifle, at Akpata in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, when the Inspector went to take his bath in a bathroom detached from his room, where he has been on special duty and gave it to the other one in a handcuff with him, and that one sold it to a herder at the cost of N600,000. The rifle had been recovered after a week-long investigation.”
