Celebration Galore As CP Delta Decorates Newly Promoted DCP, 2 ACPS, 97 Officers Across Other Ranks

 It was celebration galore at the Delta State Police Command as Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abaniwonda on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, decorated newly promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police, (DCP), two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) and 97 officers across other ranks.

The Delta Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bright Edafe, said that the decoration happened on the 2nd of January 2025.

He said: “ The decoration was done by the Commissioner of Police Delta State CP Olufemi Abaniwonda on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

“He was assisted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration DCP Charles Dike and other members of the Command’s management team. The decorated officers include DCP Ado Ibrahim who until his promotion was the AC CID State Criminal Investigation Department, ACP Sadiq M. Mana who was until his promotion the DPO ‘A’ Division Ughelli and ACP Maiyaki Joyce Mathew who was also until her promotion the DPO Kwale Division. Other officers Decorated include the Admin Officer Department of Operations  CSP Obekpa Michael, the Commander Rapid Response Squad CSP Omo-Uwuigbe Nosakhare, the Commander Crack Squad CSP Mohammed Balarabe Ibrahim all of Delta State Police Command.

“Officers who were promoted to Superintendent of Police, and Deputy Superintendent of Police were also decorated. The Commissioner of Police Delta State CP Olufemi Abaniwonda after decorating them with their new rank admonished all the beneficiaries to remember that the reward for hard work is more work and therefore advised them to put more effort while discharging their duties and ensure that they don’t disappoint the Inspector General of Police, and the public.”
