Akwa-Ibom Not Haven For Criminals, Says CP, As Suspected Cultist Meets Waterloo

-

In its unrelenting drive to flush out criminal elements, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command has once again delivered on its mandate as a suspected cultist met his Waterloo during a decisive operation in Uyo.

Acting on actionable intelligence, operatives of the Command, on 25th January 2025 at about 0950hrs, stormed the residence of Kingsley Effiong Emmanuel, ‘m’, 26, at Nsukara Offot village, Nwaniba Road, Uyo. A thorough search of the premises led to the recovery of a locally made pistol, which the suspect had been using to terrorize innocent members of the public.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect has been directly involved in disrupting the peace and order of the community and its environs through his criminal activities.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, while commending the operatives for their gallantry, issued a stern warning to criminal elements.

He stated: “The Akwa Ibom State Police Command is not only vigilant but also strategically positioned to track and dismantle any criminal network. Let it be known that Akwa Ibom is not a haven for criminals. Those who choose to continue their unlawful activities will be smoked out, apprehended and made to face the full wrath of the law.”

CP Azare urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with the Police by providing credible information, assuring them of prompt and decisive action.
