DisCO Staff Electrocuted On Duty In Lagos

A DisCo Staff has been electrocuted while reconnecting and clearing some faulty electrical wires at Borno Way by Ayodele Junction, Ebute-Metta, Lagos State.

Police spokesman in Lagos State, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident, added that it happened on the 17th of  March 2025, at about 8:15pm.

According to the deceased’s colleague, the 42-year-old man got electrocuted while reconnecting and clearing some faulty electrical wires at Borno way by Ayodele Junction, Ebute Metta.

Hundeyin said: “He was rescued and rushed to Federal Medical Center Ebute Metta for treatment, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty. Based on the report, a team of detectives visited the scene. The hospital was also visited where the corpse was inspected and photographed. The corpse has been deposited at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy.”
