Nigeria Police: Application for Admission into the 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes Begins 28th of July, 2025

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, announces the commencement of online applications for admission into its 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes. The application period will run from 28th July, 2025 to 8th September, 2025.

Qualified young Nigerians are invited to seize this opportunity for comprehensive academic and professional training designed to prepare them for a distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must:

    • Be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess a National Identity Number (NIN).
    • Score a minimum of 180 in the 2025 UTME and choose the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, as first choice institution
          • Have a minimum of

        six credits

          • , including English and Mathematics, in no more than

        two sittings

          in WAEC/NECO or equivalent.
      • Be aged 16 to 21 years by 31st October, 2025.
      • Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
      • Have a minimum height of:
      • 1.67m for males
      • 1.64m for females

          • (Males only) Have a chest measurement of

        at least 86cm (34 inches)

          .
      • Be unmarried and not pregnant at the time of admission.
      • Have a valid email address and phone number.

      Note: SSCE results obtained before 2021 will not be accepted.

      Method of Application

      1. Visit the Academy’s website: www.admission.polac.edu.ng
      2. Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code.
      3. Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦6,000 (inclusive of ₦2,000 for Post-UTME) via any commercial bank.
      4. Complete the online application and upload scanned copies of:
      • SSCE Certificate
      • Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
      • Certificate of Origin

      📄 Applicants must print and bring the completed form and guarantor form to the Academy during the Aptitude Test.

      Selection Process

      1. Computer-Based Aptitude Test at the Academy’s ICT Centre, Wudil (date to be announced).
      2. Automated Physical Screening, including verification of:
        • Educational qualifications
        • Birth certificate
        • Medical fitness certificate from a government hospital
        • Certificate of good character from the village/district head
        • Indigene certificate signed by LG Chairman/Secretary
        • Guarantor form signed by a senior public servant (GL13+), or senior officer in Police, Armed Forces, or Paramilitary
      3. Automated Medical Screening
      4. Automated Interview and Final Selection

      Successful candidates will be contacted via SMS and email.

      Courses offered under the following faculties:

      • Faculty of Humanities
        (e.g., English, History & Int’l Studies, Linguistics)
      • Faculty of Science
        (e.g., Biochemistry, Computer Science, Forensic Science)
      • Faculty of Social & Management Sciences
        (e.g., Accounting, Criminology, Psychology, Political Science, Education Management)

      Duration & Commissioning

      The programme spans five years of academic and police training, culminating in the award of a Bachelor’s Degree and commissioning as an Assistant Superintendent of Police II in the Nigeria Police Force.
