CP Lagos Commissions Ikeja Division Headquarters Access Gate, Other Facilities

-

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, FMNIMC & CMC, FCAI, ANIPR, ARPA, on November 12, 2025, commissioned the newly constructed Access Gate and other facilities at the Ikeja Divisional Headquarters, aimed at enhancing security operations and improving administrative efficiency within the Command.

The event, held at the Ikeja Divisional Headquarters, witnessed the presence of senior officers, including DCP Khan Salihu (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration), ACP Paul Okafor (Area Commander, Area F), CSP Akinwunmi Oke (Divisional Police Officer, Ikeja Division), CSP Tunji Alapini (SPU Commander, Base 16), and DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi (Deputy Police Public Relations Officer).

The newly commissioned access gate is designed to simplify entry and exit procedures for personnel and visitors to the Ikeja Police Station and adjoining departments within the premises. For years, the Division and the Area F Command had shared a single access point, often making it difficult to distinguish between the commands without inquiry.

In his address, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh commended the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Akinwunmi Oke, for his initiative and dedication in conceptualising and executing the project.

The Commissioner noted that the new access gate will greatly facilitate the smooth movement of personnel and visitors, promote operational efficiency, and further strengthen security coordination within the Ikeja Division and its environs.

He emphasised the Command’s continued commitment to improving infrastructure and creating a conducive environment that supports effective policing, public service delivery, and community safety across Lagos State.
