The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), has praised the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman, for her exceptional contributions to national development as she marks her 50th birthday.
DIG Argungu gave the commendation while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Hadiza Bala Usman @50 Governance Colloquium, held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The high-profile event attracted senior government officials, policy experts and public servants, and provided a platform for reflections on leadership, accountability, delivery and results-based governance, while celebrating the milestone birthday of the former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
In his remarks, the PSC Chairman highlighted Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman’s remarkable impact across various sectors of national development, noting her role in advancing policy reforms, strengthening institutional frameworks and promoting effective coordination across public sector institutions.
He also acknowledged her support for reforms aimed at enhancing the operational capacity and professionalism of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to DIG Argungu, Hajiya Hadiza’s career is defined by discipline, courage, excellence and unwavering commitment to public service.
“Her tireless efforts in policy coordination and results delivery have not only transformed critical sectors but have also inspired a new generation of public servants, particularly women, to pursue excellence in nation-building,” he said.
The PSC Chairman noted that her leadership in key positions, including her tenure as Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority and her current strategic advisory role at the highest level of government, has significantly improved governance delivery and accountability in the country.
