The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the deployment of Commissioners of Police to State Commands and strategic formations across Nigeria, following the endorsement of his recommendations by the Police Service Commission.
The move is designed to strengthen operational effectiveness, enhance leadership across Commands, and consolidate the ongoing reform and repositioning of the Nigeria Police Force.
Among the newly deployed Commissioners of Police to State Commands are CP Afolabi Wilfred Olutokunbo to Abia, CP Ayodeji Faniyan to Plateau, CP Saka Adewale Ajao to Bayelsa, CP Ajo Geofrey Ordue to Cross River, CP Nanna Oji Ama to Anambra, CP Patrick Daaor to Edo, CP Tani Murtala to Jigawa, and CP Samuel Erale to Delta.

Other strategic deployments include CP Yemi John Oyeniyi to Intelligence & Training, Force Intelligence Department (FID), Abuja; CP Charles Ezekwesiri Dike to INTERPOL, FCID Abuja; CP Aina Adesola to Finance and Administration, Department of Training and Development, FHQ Abuja; CP Uduak Ita Otu to Anti-Human Trafficking, FCID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos; CP Abdullateef Ajape Yusuf to General Investigation, FCID Abuja; CP Taiwo A. IGP Disu charged the senior officers to bring their wealth of experience to bear in their new assignments, emphasising the importance of intelligence-led policing, professionalism, and community engagement. He urged them to remain steadfast in safeguarding lives and property while upholding discipline, accountability, and service delivery.
The Nigeria Police Force reiterated its commitment to strategic personnel deployments as a cornerstone of its reform agenda, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening internal capacity, and delivering more effective policing services nationwide.
