In Borno State, police arrested Babagana Mustapha for the fatal shooting of Ali Gambo in Jere LGA, recovering the pump-action gun used in the incident. Meanwhile, in Delta State’s Ekpan area, a serving NYSC member was arrested for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl, with medical examinations confirming penetration.

Ogun State saw two separate arrests: a 20-year-old suspect for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl in Sango-Ota, and a 47-year-old man for attempting to rape a female doctor at Babcock University Teaching Hospital. In Bayelsa State, two suspected cultists were arrested in Yenagoa with a locally fabricated revolver pistol and live ammunition.

In Akwa Ibom State, police raided criminal hideouts in Uyo LGA, arresting four suspects and recovering large quantities of substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.

All cases are currently under investigation by the respective State Criminal Investigation Departments. CSP Ani Iniedu, ANIPR, Force Public Relations Officer, reaffirmed the Police’s resolve to safeguard lives and property, urging citizens to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies. #Securitynewsalert.com
