Ogun State saw two separate arrests: a 20-year-old suspect for sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl in Sango-Ota, and a 47-year-old man for attempting to rape a female doctor at Babcock University Teaching Hospital. In Bayelsa State, two suspected cultists were arrested in Yenagoa with a locally fabricated revolver pistol and live ammunition.
In Akwa Ibom State, police raided criminal hideouts in Uyo LGA, arresting four suspects and recovering large quantities of substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs.
All cases are currently under investigation by the respective State Criminal Investigation Departments.
