The Katsina State Police Command said it has arrested two suspected terrorists and recovered cattle and sheep.
The Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), a Superintendent of Police (SP), Gambo Isah, while speaking on the arrest, explained that on 8th of December 2022, at about 6:45 PM, based on credible intelligence, the Command succeeded in arresting two suspected terrorists and recovered eight rustled cows and two sheep.
Isah said: “Nemesis caught up with the duo of Rabiu Umar, 25, and Surajo Lawal, 30, in possession of eight rustled cows and two sheep at Gidan Kanya, Sukuntani village, Kankia, property of Abubakar Amadu, of Tafashiya village, Kankia. In the course of the investigation, the suspects confessed to the commission of the offence and stated that on 30th of November 2022, they criminally conspired with the following terrorists, now at large, Bala Usman, Samaila Sule, and Idi Uba, and attacked the house of the victim with dangerous weapons and robbed him of the animals. All the rustled animals were recovered while effort is in top gear with a view of arresting the other members of the syndicate.”
