#NDLEA: Recruits into Interior Ministry Agencies Not to Pay for Drug Integrity Test

-

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced that applicants seeking recruitment into agencies under the Ministry of Interior will not be required to pay for the mandatory Drug Integrity Test (DIT).

The affected agencies are the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Federal Fire Service and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. The NDLEA said arrangements have been finalised for the test, which forms part of their recruitment process.

In a statement issued on Friday, October 30, 2026, by its Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the agency explained that the Ministry of Interior has already made a bulk payment covering the testing of all new intakes.

“No payment is required from any candidate or personnel presenting for the Drug Integrity Test,” the agency stressed, advising candidates and the participating agencies not to pay any money to NDLEA officials, testing centres or through any other payment channel for the exercise.

To ensure the process is smooth and orderly, candidates will be required to access the NDLEA Drug Integrity Test portal through a designated link or access point, which will be provided on their respective institutional portals. Through the platform, candidates will complete their registration and documentation before proceeding to the test, without any additional payment.

The NDLEA commended the Ministry of Interior for its cooperation and reiterated its commitment to a transparent, smooth and efficient implementation of the exercise.
