Force spokesman disgusted over policemen eating suspects’ food

The Force spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, has expressed disgust over a policeman eating food of suspected travellers flagged down along Benin Road.

The incident was narrated by a Twitter user, lucid_Gp

@Ekwesu1, who recollected the incident.

He tweeted: “Remembered traveling from Lagos to Umuahia by road. We were stopped by policemen along Benin. After searching our phones nothing was found they went ahead in taking the N50k cash we had in the car and even went ahead in eating my food. What should I have done?”

Adejobi had replied: “Ate your food? So, was it the police or IGP that ordered them to eat your food? This is an indication that some of them who misbehave are not good ambassadors of the police, and in most cases, no one sent them to act in that manner. They are deviants.

“How can a policeman eat someone’s food on the road?  He’s not even afraid of poison. It’s purely unprofessional and unpolice. Abba.”
