The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has decorated 430 junior police officers who were recently promoted across the command, in a ceremony held simultaneously at the state headquarters and formations statewide.
The exercise saw 6 Sergeants elevated to the rank of Inspector, 4 Corporals promoted to Sergeant, and 420 Constables advanced to the rank of Corporal.
Speaking at the decoration ceremony, CP Ojajuni described the promotions as a reflection of Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu’s commitment to personnel welfare and career development, noting that timely promotions are critical to boosting morale and motivating officers to remain dedicated to their constitutional duties.
“This elevation is a call to greater responsibility, discipline, professionalism, and renewed dedication to service,” CP Ojajuni told the newly promoted officers, urging them to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force and discharge their duties with integrity, respect for human rights, and adherence to the rule of law.
The Commissioner also reaffirmed the Ogun State Police Command’s commitment to officers’ welfare and to strengthening institutional capacity, operational effectiveness, and service delivery in line with global policing standards. #Securitynewsalert.com
