The Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network (ACVPN), has launched an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of three years old by 13-year- old boy in the Idimu area of Lagos State.
ACVPN Head of Rescue and Referral, Comrade Toyin Oklanwon, shared information concerning the case.
A mandated reporter brought the incident to Comrade Oklanwon.
The mandated reporter said: “I wanted to bring to your knowledge an incident that happened around Idimu, of which the case is at Idimu Police Station.
“A 13-year-old was caught inserting a finger into a three-year-old baby. When the father of the girl came back from work, out of annoyance, he flogged the boy with koboko. The family of the boy came and begged the man not to report the case at the station which he agreed to.
“The following day, the family of the boy went to the police station to report that the father of the girl physically assaulted their son. They used bandages on the boy’s body just to make the case look serious.
“The person who witnessed the incident with recorded voice note and picture of the boy and the little girl is now being detained with the girl’s father at Idimu police station.”
