2024 Maukibi Celebration: Kano Police Warns Participants Against Carrying Of Arms, Drugs

The Kano State Police Command under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo Garba, felicitates with the good people of Kano State on the forthcoming 2024 Maukibi Celebration slated to be held on Saturday, 19th October 2024 -16th Rabi’u Thani 1446 AH) in Kano State.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),  Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said that the event is expected to bring together visitors from within and outside the country for the celebration, and of course, the good people of Kano State are known for hospitality and being law-abiding.

He added: “On this note, the Command sternly warns against immoral behaviours such as wielding of dangerous weapons, dealings in illicit drugs and other deviant behaviours that did not align with the State’s cultural heritage.

“Furthermore, the Command assured members of the public that adequate security arrangements have been concluded to ensure hitch-free celebrations, as whoever intends to disrupt the peace being enjoyed in the State will be arrested, investigated and prosecuted accordingly.
