Yuletide: CP Kanayo Meets, Admonishes Supervisory Officers On Operational Success

-

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, has ordered the Command’s supervisory officers to devise strategies for successfully policing and ensuring public security and safety within their areas of responsibility during the 2024 yuletide season and beyond.

The CP made this call during a conference with his management team and other supervisory officers at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess, Agbani Road, Enugu.

CP Kanayo emphasized the need for maximum security for residents and travellers this yuletide season and beyond, stressing that the security and safety of the public are paramount and non-negotiable.

Hence, he tasked the officers to remain focused and active, ensuring no lapses were recorded in their respective jurisdictions of operation.

Furthermore, the commissioner warned the officers to ensure that their personnel uphold the highest standards of professionalism, warning them of the dangers of vicarious liability, should the personnel be found wanting.

He clarified that all forms of extortion, harassment, and brutality would not be tolerated. “Such misconducts bring unnecessary embarrassment to the Command and will not be condoned,” he stated firmly.

CP Kanayo reassured the public of the Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all in Enugu State. He also called on residents to remain law-abiding, stay security-conscious, and continue providing actionable security information and intelligence to assist the police in maintaining peace and security.
