Kano Police Recovers 7 Motor Vehicles Reported Stolen Through E-CMR Platform

The Kano State Police Command has recorded a significant achievement in its efforts to combat motor vehicle theft, with the recovery of seven (7) motor vehicles reported stolen through the NPF Electronic Central Motor Registry (e-CMR) platform.

The recoveries follow different complaints lodged through the NPF e-CMR platform on the theft of seven (7) motor vehicles as follows; Truck Howo, white in colour, reported stolen from Ririwe Doguwa LGA, Kano, on 17/01/2025 and recovered in Lokoja, Kogi State.

Honda Accord 2013 model, black in colour, was reported stolen from Abuja on 18/01/2025 and recovered at Airport Road, Kano.

Mercedes Benz GLK, white in colour, reported stolen from Magwan Road Kano 27/01/2025 and recovered at Hotoro Quarters, Kano.

Toyota Corolla LE, red in colour, was reported stolen from Abuja on 30/01/2025 and recovered at Kano.

Toyota Camry, black in colour, was reported stolen from Kaduna on 27/01/2025 and recovered at Kano.

Toyota Hilux, white in colour, reported stolen from Katsina State on 15/02/2025 and recovered at Ring Road Bypass, Kano.

Pontiac Vibe, dark ash in colour, reported stolen from Katsina State on 15/02/2025 and recovered at Ring Road Bypass, Kano.

All the motor vehicles were recovered by the Police Command and handed over to their rightful owners. These have proven the NPF e-CMR platform to be an effective tool in the fight against vehicle theft, and the Kano State Police Command is committed to leveraging this technology to protect of lives and properties of all Kano residents.

The Kano State Police Command encourages members of the public to utilize the opportunity provided by the Nigeria Police Force to register their motor vehicles with the Electronic Central Motor Registry (e-CMR) via the website https://cmris.npf.gov.ng which will assist in checkmating vehicle theft-related cases.
