Enugu Police Recovers Firearm From Self Confessed Cultists

-

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command attached to the Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad, on June 9, 2025, recovered a locally fabricated double-barreled pistol, following the confessional statements of two male suspects currently under investigation.

The suspects, Uchenna Onwudi, aged 29, and Eze Chiadikobi, aged 31, were earlier arrested for conspiracy, armed robbery, unlawful possession of firearms, and cultism. They led the operatives to the recovery in an uncompleted building in Trans-Ekulu, Enugu.

Both suspects had confessed to being members of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity. They and other accomplices will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, has reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to combating all forms of crime in the State, while urging citizens to remain law-abiding and supportive of the Police.
