Brand journalists set date for 10th Anniversary Marketing Conference, Awards

-

The 10th edition of the anticipated Brands and Marketing Conference and Awards has been slated to hold on 25th November 2022.

According to the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN), its organiser, the event will kick off at Oriental Hotel Victoria Island, Lagos by 10: am.

The BJAN annual conference is a flagship event where seasoned analysts and informed stakeholders gather to dissect critical issues facing the marketing industry and Nigeria.

With BJAN known as the body peopled by journalists covering brands and marketing, this year’s event, the 10th edition, promises to up the ante in scale, reach and participation as reflected in the calibre of experts to speak at the event.

The theme of the event is: “Brands And The Role Of Technology In A Disruptive Economy.”

The Chief Executive Officer,  Nitro 121 Limited, Mr. Lampe Omoyele, who is the keynote speaker and other seasoned experts from various fields and renowned brand analysts, have been lined up as panelists to discuss issues thrown up during the presentation.

Speaking about the forthcoming event, (BJAN) chairperson, Clara Chinwe Okoro, said the choice of this year’s theme was informed by the impact of technology across the globe.

She further said: “It is a known fact that the biggest impact of technology is the change it creates in people’s perceptions, it expands access, speed and productivity, which have much more far-reaching effects. Technology has changed the way people conceptualise the possibilities available to them in their various lives. Brands that have pushed the boundaries of technological innovation have remained a cut above the rest, able to pivot their businesses to adapt to consumers’ changing needs. Our desire at this conference is to brainstorm how technology has changed people’s way of thinking and how it has transformed how they interact with brands.”

The BJAN chairperson further noted that this year’s conference is part of the association’s efforts at deepening discussions on issues affecting brands as they grapple with the ever-innovative role technology is playing in marketing communications.

The maiden edition held in 2012 in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital had the theme “Repositioning Centenary Brands to Align with Modern Realities.”
