The Cybersecurity Experts Association of Nigeria, CSEAN, today made strategic and structural moves to further strengthen its mission of advancing cybersecurity knowledge in Nigeria. Our correspondent gathered that Dr Gabriel Akinremi, a journalist and human rights activist, was appointed Director of Programmes for CSEAN.
Akinremi is expected to bring his knowledge and competence to bear in steering the association into its next phase of growth and impact in the cybersecurity ecosystem in the country.
With the appointment, the new director will be responsible for leading the design, coordination, and execution of strategic programmes that will further strengthen CSEAN’s mission of advancing cybersecurity knowledge, awareness, and resilience in Nigeria.
The inauguration drew cybersecurity professionals, stakeholders, and partners from across the country and beyond.
Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony, Dr. Akinremi expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and pledged his commitment to delivering impactful programmes that will enhance professional development and promote best practices in cybersecurity across industries.
According to him, “with this transition, CSEAN reaffirms its dedication to being a leading voice in Nigeria’s cybersecurity landscape, fostering partnerships, and equipping professionals to meet the challenges of an evolving digital era.”
