Notorious Bandit Allegedly Killed ACP in Katsina, Wore His Uniform at State-Organised Peace Meeting — Dr Bashir Claims

-

A security commentator, Dr Bashir Said, has alleged that a notorious bandit responsible for the killing of an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Katsina State later appeared at a government-organised peace meeting wearing the slain officer’s uniform.

The claims were shared on X by user The General Snow (@GeneralSnow_), who urged the public to pay attention to the account.

According to the narration, the peace deal was organised by the Katsina State Government and reportedly attended by officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Dr. Bashir asserted that the bandit had murdered the senior police officer before attending the reconciliation meeting in the victim’s uniform, raising fresh concerns about the nature of ongoing negotiations with criminal gangs in the North-West.

The allegation has intensified public debate over the government’s approach to dealing with armed groups and the safety of security personnel involved in such engagements.

As of press time, authorities had not issued a formal response to the claim.
