NPF Microfinance Bank Begins Major Reconstruction of Lagos Headquarters

By Atta Folorusho

The Nigeria Police Force Microfinance Bank has commenced extensive reconstruction of its corporate headquarters in Obalende, Lagos, as part of efforts to provide shareholders, customers, and staff with a modern, befitting edifice.

According to information gathered, construction professionals have begun work in earnest, operating around the clock to ensure the project is completed before or at the latest, by the first month of 2026.

A source at the bank’s Ikoyi Road headquarters said the initiative reflects the proactive leadership style of the Managing Director, Mr Habeeb Yusuf, whose one-year stewardship has driven the transformation of several branches across Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Enugu, Benin City, Port Harcourt, and Abeokuta.

“The current management under Habeeb, in the past year, is not leaving any stone unturned when it comes to transforming the bank,” the source noted.

While the facelift focuses largely on the building’s exterior, minor interior restructuring is also underway. Another staff member expressed confidence that the upgraded headquarters will rival the aesthetics of leading commercial banks in Nigeria.

“I can assure you that by the time we are done, our corporate headquarters will compete favourably with some of the most beautiful banking structures in the country. We are leaving no stone unturned to meet the expectations of our customers and shareholders,” the staff member said.

Meanwhile, engineers, artisans, and support workers remain on site day and night to ensure the new edifice is completed ahead of 2026.
