Zamfara Police Clear Gusau–Magami–Dansadau Road After IED Attack

-

The Zamfara State Police Command has announced the successful completion of a joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) sweep operation along the Gusau–Magami–Dansadau Road.

The operation followed the detonation of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) by suspected terrorists on December 27, 2025, which claimed eight lives and led to the destruction of property.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, said the affected road has been thoroughly cleared and declared safe for normal vehicular and human movement.

DSP Abubakar urged residents of the state to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious objects or activities to the nearest security agency for immediate action.
