Nine Worshippers Abducted from Catholic Church in Benue Community

The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of nine worshippers during an attack on a Catholic church in Igile community, located in Ado Local Government Area of the state.

The incident, which has sparked fear among residents and members of the church, was confirmed in a brief update shared by NTANetwork on its official social media platform. According to the report, the victims were abducted while at the church premises. However, details surrounding the circumstances of the attack and the identity of the perpetrators were not immediately disclosed.

Security agencies are yet to provide further information on rescue efforts or possible arrests in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, residents of the community have expressed concern over the rising cases of insecurity in the area and called for intensified security presence to safeguard lives and property.
