Lady who jumps into lagoon identified as staff member of DSS

The lady, who jumped off the Third Mainland Bridge on Thursday, has been identified as  Ms Adetutu Adedokun, a noncombative staff with the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to Punchng.com, her identity was confirmed by Channels Television.

The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, (LASEMA) Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the victims dived into the Third Mainland Lagoon after alighting from an Uber car, added: “Upon the arrival of the Lagos Response Team at the incident scene, an investigation revealed that a lady in her late 30s plunged into the Lagos lagoon.

“Further investigation revealed that the lady alighted from a Uber taxi car on the bridge and plunged into the lagoon. The taxi driver claimed she was having a heated conversation with her fiance before alighting from the car. The Lagos Response Team, men of Lagos State fire and rescue service, LASWA and officials of the Department of State Service (DSS) are currently on the ground working better together to search for the victim.”
