Two brothers arrested for killing their visitor, concealing corpse

Homicide detectives attached to the Kebbi State Police Command have arrested two brothers, Sulazza Sule and Manman Sule, for accommodating Samaila Kamuna and then later allegedly shooting him to death.

The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Magaji Kontagora explained that on the 2nd of November, 2022, at about 3:am, Samaila Kamuna, 32, of Rijau Local Government Area, Niger State, went to Bature Village, Kambuwa District of Ngaski Local Government Area, for the purpose of farming, the suspects, Sulazza Sule and his brother Manman Sule accommodated Kamuna.

“While Kamuna was staying with the brothers, he was shot to death in their house. The two brothers were suspected to have killed the victim with a view to hiding their criminal acts. The investigation is ongoing,” said Kontogora.

The CP also mentioned that on the 2nd of November 2022, at about 8:am,  a gang of suspected bandits barricaded Bena-Mairairai Road. When the information was received, mobile policemen were immediately mobilised and on reaching the scene, a gun duel ensued between the security men and the bandits. As a result, three already kidnapped victims, namely; Jamila Ahamad, Shamsiya Ahamad and Tasi’u Haruna all from Mairairai village were rescued unhurt and have been reunited with their families. Kontogora stated that one Toyota Corolla, ash in colour with Registration number Kano, DTF 236 LP, belonging to the bandits was also recovered.

It was also gathered that the police have an intensive patrol of the area to prevent the further incursion of the bandits.
