Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Wednesday, received the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, reaffirming the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to protecting law-abiding citizens and deepening collaboration with key stakeholders on peace and security.
The courtesy visit was led by MACBAN’s National President, Alhaji Baba Othman Ngelzarma, alongside other members of the association’s leadership.
Welcoming the delegation, Disu acknowledged the livestock sector’s significance to the national economy and stressed that sustainable peace can only be achieved through mutual trust, dialogue, respect for the rule of law, and timely sharing of credible intelligence.
“The Nigeria Police Force remains impartial in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities,” the IGP said, adding that while the rights of all citizens would be upheld, anyone found engaging in criminal acts would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
He urged all stakeholders to promote peaceful coexistence within their communities and remain committed to lawful conduct.
Ngelzarma, speaking for the delegation, congratulated the IGP on his appointment and praised the Police Force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen professionalism, accountability, and public confidence in policing. He reaffirmed MACBAN’s commitment to peaceful coexistence and continued collaboration with security agencies.
