Less than 48 hours after the launch of Operation KO S’AYE by the Lagos and Ogun State Police Commands, the joint operation has recorded a breakthrough.
Operatives combing the forest boundaries between Lagos and Ogun States, along the J3/J4 axis of Ogbere in Ogun State, rescued five kidnapped victims and neutralised four suspected kidnappers.
Four additional kidnapping suspects were arrested, along with 84 other suspects apprehended in connection with various offences. Arms, ammunition, and other exhibits were also recovered during the operation.
The Nigeria Police Force says it remains resolute in ensuring there is no hiding place for criminals, particularly kidnappers, through intelligence-led operations and sustained security efforts.
“Ko S’aye fun iwa odaran” — there is no place for criminality, the Force reiterated, adding that forests are no longer safe havens for criminals.
