The affected areas include Gbagada, Ikorodu Road, Ikeja, Maryland and Ogudu, where floodwaters disrupted vehicular movement and daily activities.
Residents expressed frustration over the recurring flooding, saying the city cannot continue to experience such incidents whenever there is heavy rainfall. Many called for urgent improvements in drainage infrastructure, waste management and flood control measures to prevent future occurrences.
The latest flooding has renewed concerns about the state’s preparedness for the rainy season and the need for more effective measures to address persistent flooding in vulnerable communities.
