The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Lagos, AIG Simeon U Akpanudom PSC FDC MSPSP MNIM, led members of his leadership team on a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) to strengthen collaboration and synergy in support of security and effective criminal investigations in Lagos State.
Welcoming the delegation, the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Secretary of the LSSTF, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, congratulated the AIG on his appointment and commended his dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the Nigeria Police Force.
He reaffirmed the LSSTF’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies in Lagos State. The CEO donated 50 bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets to the FCID Annex in Lagos and assured further support for the office to enhance operational efficiency and investigative activities and keep Lagos State safe.
In his remarks, AIG Akpanudom expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the confidence reposed in the Inspector-General of Police, and thanked IGP Olatunji R. Disu, psc+ NPM, for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the FCID Annex, Lagos.
The AIG also commended the LSSTF for its continuous support to the Nigeria Police Force, particularly the training programmes extended to the FCID Annex detectives, which have significantly enhanced their investigative capacity and professionalism. He reiterated the commitment of the FCID Annex, Lagos, to supporting the Inspector-General of Police’s people-centric policing vision through strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
The visit was concluded with the presentation of a commemorative plaque to the Executive Secretary as a symbol of the enduring partnership and shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening security and justice delivery in Lagos State.
