#IGP Disu Posts New Police PROs to Commands, Formations

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the posting of new Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Public Relations Liaison Officers to selected commands and formations of the Nigeria Police Force.

The postings are aimed at strengthening strategic communication, improving public access to credible police information and enhancing engagement with the media and other stakeholders.

THE NEWLY POSTED PPROs

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, disclosed this in a statement issued at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, on Friday, October 9, 2026.

According to the statement, SP Johnson A. Doghudje has been posted as the Police Public Relations Officer for Zone 5 and can be reached on 08038773657, while SP Ojedele Olanrewaju Tunji has been posted to Zone 11, Osogbo, with the contact number 09152481510.

Also, DSP Orchia Adndongu has been posted to the Benue State Police Command and can be contacted on 07013495466.

DSP Imah Unwana Victor has been assigned to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) and can be reached on 08038281577.

Similarly, ASP Abdulaziz Maharazu has been posted to the Police Academy (POLAC), with the contact number 07064684936, while ASP Yusuf Adamu Aliyu has been posted to the Yobe State Police Command and can be reached on 08136394230.

The statement further disclosed that ASP Haruna Rashid Umar Abdullahi has been posted as the Public Relations Liaison Officer for the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Gombe State. His contact number is 08130313033.

The IGP charged the newly posted officers to uphold professionalism, responsiveness and accuracy in carrying out their duties.

He also urged them to ensure the timely dissemination of verified information and maintain constructive engagement with members of the public and the media.

The Force encouraged journalists and members of the public to contact the respective officers for verified information and enquiries concerning police activities within their areas of responsibility.

It added that the Nigeria Police Force remained committed to strengthening transparency, public communication and constructive engagement as essential components of effective and people-centred policing.
