Nigeria Police Force spokesman arrests former Honourable in Abuja

The Nigeria Police Force spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, said that he has arrested a former Honourable for breaking the traffic law in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Adejobi explained that the incident happened on the 26th of March 2023, and expressed disappointment at the tendency of some people who claimed to be educated and exposed, to claim right even when they are wrong.

Adejobi said: “He beat the traffic robot (on red) in front of the FHQ. He was so egoistic and full of pride, giving commanding words to me and our officers there. He even refused to comply with the traffic warden, who sat in his car, until the queen English turned to Pidgin English. I then wondered what the effrontery he had to do deliberately commit a traffic offence right in front of the Police FHQ in the presence of Police Officers on duty.

“I concluded that it’s an act of impunity and disregard for our law, security institution, and human dignity. After his contravention, he started dropping names as usual, but I never bothered. The matter was handed over to the FCT Police Command for necessary action. I trust the Commissioner of Police, FCT, a member of the National Institute, CP Abubakar Sadiq, who swung into action and stood his ground that the offender be caused to face the wrath of the law and sanctity be injected into our system. Change begins with me, and I think we all need to put in our best to make sure we have a better society in Nigeria.”
