ACVPN joins United Nations, NHRC, others to  mark 16-day gender-based activism in Lagos

-

The Lagos Annex Office of the National Human Rights Commission NHRC has organised a Public Sensitisation programme with the theme: “Men And Boys Can Prevent Violence Against Women And Girls.”

The events attracted representatives from different bodies, including Civil Society organisations (CSOs).

The Advocates For Children And Vulnerable Persons Network (ACVPN) was duly represented by its Service Case Manager in person of Ms. Jennifer Nwosu and the Head of Rescue and referral Comrade Okanlawon Oluwatoyin.

Accounting to participants, it was an exciting and illuminating programme, with flyers shared with members of the public the event was well coordinated with a police presence that guarded the group.

The events were not hijacked by hoodlums nor miscreants of any sort and it was a well-organised public sensitisation.
