Again, LASG promises to investigate collapsed building on Banana Island

The Lagos State Government has vowed to investigate the collapse of an unapproved seven-floor building under construction at Banana Island, Lagos State, on Wednesday 12th of April 2023 evening.

Deputy Director, Public Affairs, LASG, Mukaila Sanusi, in a statement, said that a few people who sustained were being treated, stressing that there was no fatality.

Sanusi further said: “This unfortunate incident happened while casting was being done. The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,  Engr. Tayo Bamgbose-Martins was immediately on site to assess the situation and flag- off investigation.  We ask members of the public to remain calm and expect further information from the ministry as we know more.”
