Anambra CP seeks greater synergy among agencies for improved security

-

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, CP Aderemi Adeoye has paid courtesy visits to the Heads of some Security Agencies in the State.

These include the Department of State Services (DSS); Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and the National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) all in Awka.

During the visit, the CP solicited for the sustenance of existing cooperation among the Services in the fight against crime and criminality, as well as enhancing the safety and security of Ndi Anambra as the Police cannot do it alone.

He stated that the Police Command’s doors will always be opened to them for fruitful discussions and meaningful engagement.

In their responses, the Service Commanders expressed delight with the visit and promise to cooperate with the Police to stem the tide of insecurity in the state, especially in intelligence sharing and joint operations.

In a related development, the CP visited the Catholic Bishop of Awka, Rev Fr. Paulinus Ezeokafor.

The CP enjoined the Church to use its platform to advocate for peace and encourage individuals to shun violence and be law-abiding.

The Bishop thanked the CP for coming and prayed for the Country, the State, the Police Command as well as the Commissioner of Police.

The CP was accompanied on the visit by some Senior officers from the Police Command including the Police Public Relations Officer.
