Anambra Police Arrest Two Suspected Secessionists, Recovers 1170 Cartridges, Stolen Vehicle

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested two suspected secessionists and recovered 1175 cartridges and a stolen car.

The State Police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, said that the Command’s Operatives leveraged Practical Intelligence in achieving the feat.

He also stated that operations were led by Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Nnaghe Obono Itam, who acted on the information provided and recorded yet another breakthrough as Police Operatives intercepted a shuttle bus, and recovered two 50KG bags containing four cartons of one hundred and seventy pieces live cartridges.

Ikenga said: “The Operatives laid ambush on the receipt of Information along Port Harcourt Road Fegge, Onitsha, the convener on sighting the Police took to his heels before the driver was arrested. The driver is currently undergoing interrogation to guide the investigation.”

Also, police on 23rd of May, along Creek Road, Fegge arrested one Mr Kingsley Orji of Okwudo was arrested. The Police recovered a stolen Lexus RX350 with registration number YAB 912 HR.

The vehicle was reported to have been snatched at gunpoint by six armed men along Love Line Assembly, in Imo State. The suspect confessed to the crime and has made useful information that is assisting in apprehending other gang members.

CP Itam charged the Operatives to sustain the onslaught Operation aimed to deny criminal elements the space they enjoy in the State and further assured people in the state of the Command’s Commitment and utmost confidentiality on every information provided.
