ARISE News Channel Goes Live in South Africa, Angola, Botswana, 7 Others

The management of ARISE News Channel has announced that the cable news network has gone live in South Africa, Angola and Botswana, and seven other countries in Southern Africa, on Multichoice/DSTV Channel 416.

The other countries are Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
In a statement the Chief of Staff to Chairman/Editor-in-Chief of cable new network, Fauziya Ali Mohammed, said with the new additions, ARISE News Channel is live in 54 African countries.
Mohammed said the channel is already available to audiences in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda as well as in Cameroon, Sudan, Ghana, Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire, Francophone Africa, amongst others.
The Emmy-winning ARISE News Channel, which marked its 11th anniversary January 31st this year, is Africa’s premier broadcaster globally, showcasing the continent in Business, Politics, Technology, Commerce, Science, Sports, Showbusiness and Fashion, while projecting the best of Africa – its peoples and cultures around the world.
While affirming that ARISE News Channel is determined to be launched in all countries around the world, Chairman/Editor-in-Chief, Nduka Obaigbena said: “This movement to Southern Africa cements ARISE News

ARISE News Channel operates a 24-hour broadcast from studios in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria; in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa; in London, the United Kingdom; and in New York, United States.
The Channel can also be viewed in the UK and across Europe on the Sky platform (Sky Channel 516) and Freeview (Channel 136), the Centric Channel in the USA, and also on the Hot Bird platform, which transmits to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
The ARISE News Channel is also available to streaming audiences around the world through the ARISE Play platform.
