The Commandant of the Nigerian Army Armour School (NAAS), Bauchi, Major General Abubakar Ahmed, has commended troops of Operation HADIN KAI for their resilience and operational successes in the North-East, pledging continued efforts to produce highly skilled armour personnel to support ongoing military operations.
Ahmed made the remarks during an operational assessment visit to the Headquarters of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, at the Maimalari Military Cantonment in Maiduguri on Saturday.
He praised the Theatre Commander and troops for their dedication in safeguarding lives and property, noting the “remarkable professional posture” of personnel and the relative peace in Maiduguri.
“The aim of this visit is to reaffirm the support of the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps and to assess the performance of armour crew and personnel in the theatre,” he said, adding that the exercise would also help identify and address operational gaps.
The Commandant expressed satisfaction with feedback received on the performance of armour personnel deployed in the theatre, assuring that the school would continue to provide adequate platforms and sustain the modular rotation of trained personnel.
In his response, the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdusalam Abubakar, appreciated the Commandant for the regular assessment visits and the quality of training provided to armour crews.
He highlighted the critical role of the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps in the successes recorded by Operation HADIN KAI and commended the performance of NAAS graduates.
Abubakar also assured that adequate maintenance of armour platforms and personnel welfare remained a priority in the theatre.
The visit featured interactive sessions with senior officers, exchange of souvenirs, signing of the visitors’ book, and a group photograph. #Securitynewsalert.com
