The One Service, One medal, OSOM, games ended on a very thrilling note on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, with the athletes of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, bagging 10 medals.

The athletes participated in eight games ranging from swimming, football, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, shooting range, boxing to sprint winning one gold, two silver and seven bronze.

The medals came from boxing with EFCC hauling a gold and silver, two bronzes in badminton, one silver and five bronzes in shooting sport, totalling 10 medals

The biggest winner of the competition was the Nigerian police securing 43 gold, 38 Silver and 34 bronze medals.

Speaking with journalists during the closing ceremony and award of medals,  the Head of EFCC Sport Committee, Assistant Commander of the EFCC,  ACE II Halilu Dauda appreciated the dedication of the athletes despite the short notice for preparations, promising that in the next games, the athletes will have a more profitable outing.

“Our sports team is still growing. I believe we have what it takes to do better next time. This is an eye opener because a lot of our athletes are first timers, and the notice was too short, I applaud our people because they represented us well. I want to appreciate the support of the Executive Chairman, Ola Olukoyede and the Commission Secretary, Mohammed Hammajoda, for giving us all the support,” he said

Also speaking, the Sports Committee Publicity Secretary, ACE II Aisha Mohammed stated that sport was a unifying factor “and it is encouraging to see both military and paramilitary officers at the various games  coming under one umbrella to participate in various sport activities to promote peace and unity amongst different agencies”.

She further called for more participation in sports, as the Commission has passionate athletes who can do well in various games.
