Community development, infrastructure, peaceful coexistence, and welfare initiatives took centre stage yesterday as the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Dr.) Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, met with a delegation from Mercy Land Estate at the Council Secretariat.
The delegation was led by Dr Obe, Chairman of the Community Development Association (CDA) and Chief Executive Officer of Platform Times Group of Schools.
Comr. Amuwa Mayowa, Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, explained that the meeting aimed to deepen collaboration between the Council and the community to drive sustainable grassroots development.
“Dr. Obe commended the Agbaje-led administration for its developmental strides across Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA and expressed the commitment of the estate to working closely with the Council in promoting sustainable and community-driven development,” Mayowa stated.
According to him, Hon. Agbaje appreciated the delegation’s visit and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive, responsive, and people-oriented governance.
“Hon. Agbaje emphasised the importance of constructive engagement with CDAs, residents’ associations, and other community stakeholders in achieving sustainable development at the grassroots,” Mayowa added.
The Chairman, he noted, assured the delegation that his administration would continue to maintain an open and collaborative approach to community engagement while creating an enabling environment for partnerships that contribute meaningfully to the development of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
