Celebration as Eboka gets promoted becomes AIG Zone 16

Jubilant friends, colleagues, relatives and well-wishers have continued to pour encomiums on Mr Friday Eboka, recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and immediately moved to his new post of AIG in charge of Zone 16, Yenogoa, comprising, Rivers and Bayelsa states.

Eboka holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

He was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in 1988, and on completion of his training was posted to Delta State, where he did his one-year compulsory attachment and later served in various Police Departments across the country.

He has served in many states and units, some of which are Divisional Police Officer in about six (6) Divisions in  Lagos State, including Lekki, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Safer Highway, Abuja.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Finance and Administration, DC ‘A’ Kano. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Zone 2, Headquarters, Lagos.

He served as the Commissioner of Police, at Railway Police Command, from where he was found professionally competent and redeployed to the Rivers State Command as the 42nd Commissioner of Police.

Eboka, who hails from Boji-Boji Agbor, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State, is happily married with children. His hobbies include reading, football and Golf.

He is a very seasoned and versatile police officer with an impeccable crime-fighting track record.

He promised to bring his wealth of experience garnered over the years from both local and international postings to bear on policing the jurisdiction of the Yenogoa Zonal Police Command-Rivers and Bayelsa states- and welcomes all people of goodwill to join him in the sensitive and very important task ahead, ie policing the very heart of the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria.

It is because of his track record of dedicated service and innovative policing that he received

the AMSSRN Fellowship Award for Distinguished Public Service.
