Children’s Day: Anambra Police Partners PCRC on security tips for pupils

In celebration of 2023 Children’s Day, Anambra State Police Command today 26th of May 2023, collaborated with the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Anambra Chapter to visit the Police Children School, Awka, where the pupils were given security tips by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), a  Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ikenga Tochukwu.

Tochukwu, during interaction with the pupils, said: “Children are the future and part of the conscience of our community and should be monitored not neglected.”

He also encouraged the children to know little things like the names of their parents, phone numbers, and the address of where they live, in case of any eventuality.

He said: “I hereby urge parents to create a deliberate relationship with their wards. This will help them to have access, to guide and direct them properly.”

On the other hand, the Woman leader of PCRC Chapter Anambra State, Mrs Ubah Stella Ijeoma, prayed for the children and presented them with gift items like exercise books and bags.

In attendance includes some officers drawn from the Police Public Relations Office, Anambra State Police Command, some executive members of the PCRC, and teachers of the school, among others.
