The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, has directed the massive deployment of the Command’s human, operational, intelligence, and traffic management resources for the Christmas celebration and beyond.

This initiative aims to ensure the safety and security of residents, travellers, and returnees celebrating the season in Enugu State.

CP Uzuegbu has further instructed area commanders, divisional police officers (DPOs), and heads of operational and tactical units to intensify visibility patrols within their jurisdictions, especially on highways, streets, places of worship, and event venues.

He also charges them to ensure effective traffic management in their areas of responsibility, strictly adhere to professional standards, and respect the fundamental rights of citizens in all operations.

The Commissioner extends warm festive greetings to the people of Enugu State, wishing them a Merry Christmas and a safe and peaceful celebration.

He encourages citizens to celebrate responsibly, show love, and extend care to the less privileged.

CP Kanayo also calls for vigilance and adherence to the law, urging the public to report suspicious activities or criminal behaviour to the nearest police station.
