Mr Taledo Demiel, a worker at a catholic church has been arrested for allegedly orchestrating the kidnapping of two reverend fathers and demanding N10m as ransom.
The suspect was said to have been arrested when he went to pick up the ransom money.
The two priests were abducted in Numan LG, Adamawa State. Sources explained that Taledo Demiel was an altar servant and his major duty was to provide sundry services to a priest during mass.
It will be recalled that the two priests, are Reverend Fathers Matthew David Dusami and Abraham Samman.
A source further said: “Luck ran out of Demiel when he had gone to a location to pick up the N10million ransom, but later abandoned it and escaped after suspecting he could be caught.
“Upon suspecting that there were security operatives around, he abandoned the ransom and ran away leaving his motorcycle behind as evidence.
“Security operatives took the motorcycle and it was identified as the altar servant’s own. Thereafter his house was forced open and the two priests were found locked up in a room and rescued.”
