Constable bolts after stealing colleague’s Samsung Phone, transfers money into account

The Ogun State Police Command has launched a man-hunt for Police Constable Ajibade Ademuyiwa with F/No539213, who disappeared from his duty post after it was discovered he stole his colleague’s Samsung phone and then transferred the man’s money into his account.

According to reports gathered by Securitynewsalert.com, Ademuyiwa has been defaulted for the offence of discreditable conduct.

It was also learned that on the 6th of December, at about 9:43p:m, Ademuyiwa stole Samsung10 plus Core Mobile Phone belonging to F/No534577 PC Ayeni Sunday from where it was put on charge at the DCB office.

Securitynewsalert.com also learned that after a thorough investigation, the phone was recovered from him. It was also discovered that he had fraudulently transferred the sum of  N20,000 to Opay account number xxxxxxx of the victim through the stolen phone.

“While the defaulter was about to be detained on the instruction of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), he took to his heels and escaped from the station.

“Efforts intensified to arrest him and commence his orderly room trial immediately.”

  1. No proper screening before the recruitment of some persons in the Nigerian police force. However, society is not helping to reveal the real identity of some of the indigenous people during police recruitment. Rather they celebrate the transfer of the individual from the villages and community.
